Pingliang Pagoda Park


Pingliang Pagoda, built in the  Ming Dynasty(1368-1644), is located in the urban area of Pingliang City. It is a seven-level octagonal pyramid-shaped and wooden pavilion-style brick tower with a height of 27.54 meters , and a bottom diameter of 12 meters.

On the south side of the first floor, it is an arched tower door with a "Da Ming" stone plaque. There are doors and plaques on all sides of the upper floors. The part of the exit is a brick sculpture arch, with a cloud head flower, a glazed tile on the upper part, and a phoenix bell at each corner. Round apex with iron cast brakes. There are wooden slabs and stairs in the tower for boarding. The whole tower body is exquisitely carved, with green walls and yellow walls.

Pingliang Pagoda is one of the major attractions of Pingliang City. In 1963, the Gansu Provincial People's Government announced that it was a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. Nowadays, it is opened as a park, Baota Park. In 1980, Pingliang Musuem was built and opened ton public.
