Junshan Yinzhen Tea


Junshan Yinzhen Tea, also named Silver-Needle yellow tea or Beigang Maojian Tea, produced here are the most famous and have been highly valued in Chinese yellow tea history. Furthermore, Junshan Yinzhen Tea is the only yellow tea in the Top 10 Chinese Teas.
Junshan Yinzhen Tea is a highest grade yellow bud tea. The shiny tea buds are strong and straight in an even shape, covered with silver fine hair, hence reputed as "gold inlaid with jade". The tea leaves fresh taste with a faint scent, and the tea infusion is clear and bright yellow. Glass is suitable for making such tea. Looking through the glass, you may see tea buds rush upwards to stand upright under the surface of the water; later, the buds sink down like snowflakes falling down to the bottom.
For the second round of brewing, the tea buds float up and down again, and the same for the third round. Junshan Yinzhen can dance three ups and three downs during the whole brewing process, which wins it remarkable prestige and high value in both domestic and international market.
Junshan Yinzhen was granted gold medal at the First China Food Fair in 1988. It was presented to Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2008 as?a "National Tea Gift" by China's Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and selected as one of the "Five-ring Teas" for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In 2011, China Tea Marketing Association awarded Yueyang city the title of "Hometown of Chinese yellow tea". Nowadays, the yellow tea industry has become the mainstay industry with local advantages and characteristics, marking it an emblem of Hunan Tea.
