From June 14th to 21st, 2026,the 11 industry representatives from multiple travel agencies in Spain arrived in China on a direct flight from Madrid to
Chengdu operated by Sichuan Airlines for a week-long in-depth tourism survey.
During the investigation, the travel agents visited representative destinations such as
Chengdu, Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area, etc. to get a close feel of Sichuan's unique charm in terms of history, culture, natural ecology, urban development and food experience. From Wuhou Temple, which carries the cultural memory of the Three Kingdoms, to Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, a world cultural heritage; From the national treasure giant panda loved by international tourists to the natural scenery of Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area, known as the "fairyland on earth"; From experiencing authentic Sichuan cuisine culture to the ancient Shu civilization of Sanxingdui, the multi-level tourism resources of Sichuan left a deep and intuitive impression on the members of the inspection team.
In addition to traditional cultural and tourism resources, the inspection team also focused on experiencing the achievements of Chengdu's international city construction and the convenience services for inbound tourism. In the core business districts and neighborhoods of Chengdu, representatives experienced mobile payment, foreign card acceptance, and departure tax refund services on site. They gave a positive evaluation of
China's continuously optimized inbound tourism environment, believing that the relevant facilitation measures have significantly improved the travel experience of foreign tourists, making travel to
China smoother, more efficient, and friendly.
With strong support from the China Tourism Office in Madrid and Sichuan Airlines, the event hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism was a complete success. Spanish travelers not only gained a comprehensive understanding of Sichuan's rich and diverse cultural and tourism resources, but also personally learned about the development environment of inbound tourism in Sichuan.
This event not only deepened the comprehensive understanding of Sichuan's tourism product system by the Spanish tourism industry, but also laid a good foundation for the development of future tourism routes to China.
