Zhuzhou Transportation


Zhuzhou is located to the southeast of Changsha and bordering Jiangxi to the east. Zhuzhou City is the second largest city in Hunan Province and part of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster. Zhuzhou is a very important transportation junction in South China. Xiangjiang River flows through Zhuzhou, which makes it one of the eight river ports of Hunan Province.  It is the intersection of East-West & North-South railways and North-South & East-West Expressways as well. It takes 40 minutes drive from this city to Changsha Airport.

By Air
Huanghua International Airport is the nearest airport to Zhuzhou City. It's about 67 km away from downtown Zhuzhou to Changsha Huanghua Airport.

By Train
The Beijing-Guangzhou railway, the Zhejiang-Jiangxi railway and the Hunan-Guizhou railway meet here, which makes Zhuzhou railway station one of the five special class passenger and goods transportation stations in China. There is a train passing by in average 3 minutes. Zhuzhou North Station is the biggest goods transportation marshalling station in South China, with 110 trains and more than 30 thousand passengers passing through every day. Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway passes Zhuzhou City and it is only CNY 29 for ticket ,as well as  39 minutes taking from Changsha to Zhuzhou.

By Long-Distance Bus
Besides the comprehensive railway system, Zhuzhou is connected to the rest of the country by 106 National Highway, 320 National Highway, 211 Provincial Highway,the Beijing-Zhuhai expressway, the Shanghai-Ruili expressway, and three highways linking south Fujian, south Jiangxi and south Hunan Province.
By Water
The Xiangjiang River passing the city is open to navigate for all seasons. From Yongli Wharf, which has a 1000-ton berth, container ships can sail directly into Dongting Lake and Shanghai
