The Huangshan Pine is taken as the provincial tree of Anhui to exhibit the toughness and hospitality of the people in Anhui. Huangshan pines grow in barren stones. They can resist cold weather and strong storms. They all have tall and straight trunks, and stretch their branches, looking like welcoming visitors from all over the world.
 
Anhui Azalea (Rhododendron anhweiense)
Anhui Azalea grows on mountainous areas as high as 1000 to 1600 meters above the sea level. It is a wonder to see clusters of azaleas of different colors blossoming in the field in May and June.
