Wuzhou Qilou Builings City

Wuzhou Qilou City, known as Wuzhou's Riding Towers City, is the Terraced Building combining Chinese and Western architecture styles together, which refers to the group of Qilou buildings in the Old Town of Wuzhou, which are not uncommon in the south of China, but not many can be called "city". Wuzhou Qilou City is not only well-preserved, but also the building concentration and scale are among the best in China.

From the Dadongshang Road in the ancient city of Wuzhou to the North Ring Road and Guilin Road, not only can you see Nanyang-style, Baroque-style riding towers, but also many historic buildings and old houses. Of course, the specialty shops and delicious snacks are not less.

Entering the ancient city of Wuzhou, from the Dadongshang Road to the Beihuan Road and Guilin Road, you can not only see many riding towers with Nanyang-style and Baroque-style but also many historic buildings and old houses.

Of course, the specialty shops and delicious snacks are not less on the streets. At the height of business, there were more than 1,500 businesses shops in the city. Today, the former glory has long since faded away, and the small shops along the street are operating their own businesses, becoming a tepid leisure zone. There are many sculptures on the street that reflect the style of Wuzhou, showing the scenes of the life of Wuzhou citizens in the old days.

In this bustling change, many historical sites remain. The former site of the Dadong Post Office on Dadong Road, from which Guangxi's first telegram was sent in 1884, is still retained as a post office today.

There are many beautiful modern houses in Weixinli (Minzhu Road). The deep-walled courtyards and exquisite carved flowers are worthy of careful taste. The Catholic Church built in 1898 is also located here. Strolling in the city of Qilou, there are constant shops along the street, and Wuzhou specialty snacks are not to be missed. The most famous ones are Bingquan Soy Milk and Guiling Paste. They are all recommended.
