Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway, Hunan’s first intercity railway connecting Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan cities, is 95.5 km long. Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway was officially open to traffic on Dec. 26, 2016. This double-tracked interciety railway connecting Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan covers a total length of 104.36 km, running at a maximum speed of 200 km per hour. The following sixteen stations are opening for passenger service now, namely, Changsha Railway Station, Shumuling Station, Xiangzhang Road Station, Xiangfu Road Station, Dongjing Station, Xianfeng Station, Furongnan Station, Muyun Station, Jiulangshan Station, Tianxindong Station, Dafeng Station, Zhuzhounan Railway Station, Zhaoshan Station, Hetang Station, Bantang Station, and Xiangtan Railway Station.

28 and 34 pairs of EMU trains ( with a capitalized letter C on ) designed for intercity line are arranged to set off at normal and peak hours respectively during the initial operation stage.
