Yulin Red Stone Gorge, also called Hongshixia Gorge, is located in the north of Yunlin City,Shaanxi Province. It is famous for many ancient Chinese calligraphic works carving on the cliffs.

With wondferful scenery, the Yulin Red Stone Gorge was  listed as one of the famous Eight sigh-seeings in ancient times. Nowadsy, it has been built as the Hongshixia Ecological Park in Shaanxi Province.

Only 3 km away from donwtown Yulin, the Red Stone Gorge is  a canyon lined with grottoes, holds ancient inscriptions and Buddhist art. Yuxi River runs through the Red Stone Gorge to the city of Yulin. In ancient times, some local noted people usually went there to do Chinese calligraphic works carving on the cliffs that made the gorge be a gallery of calligraphic art. Entering the gorge, visitors can also see the ancient pogoda, and the grottoes which were carved in the Song and Yuan Dynasties.
