Ganbao Tibetan Village


Ganbao Tibetan Village is located in Ganbao Township, Li County, Sichuan Province. Standing in the center of the Lixian-Maerkang Baili Tibetan Mastiff Cultural Corridor, Ganbao Tibetan Village is situated beside National Highway 317, 192 kilometers away from Chengdu and 8 kilometers away from Lixian County. It is a typical Jiarong Tibetan settlement. The big stockade. It is built on the mountain river, so it is named Ganbao. The Tibetan language means “village on the slope”. In the entire Tibetan area, Ganbao has been the Ganbao armor since ancient times, meaning 100-year-old Dazhai.
In the stockade is a tower-like house built of stone. The stone house is not built of bricks, cement, river sand or lime. Instead, it is made from granite in the river water (locally known as Mazi Stone) and cut into stones of different sizes. It is made of local clay. . The stone house is warm in winter and cool in summer, not easy to weather, and it is shockproof, fireproof and waterproof. Stone houses are generally two or three stories, with a narrow width and a narrow width; one layer raises livestock and piles of debris, and the second floor is living room, kitchen, bedroom, and guest room; the three-story roof can be used for cooling and drying the food field. Some houses even have balconies like the inner and outer balconies of modern buildings. The stone houses are adjacent to each other and are high and low. Naturally arranged into a village; there are narrow lanes between the house and the house, about three meters wide, and narrow can only pass two people side by side. The road surface of the road is all made of pumice stone or cobblestone.
The 5.12 earthquake in 2008 destroyed the Ganbao Tibetan village. On March 5, 2009, the Gantang Tibetan Village in Li County held the “Deputy Reconstruction Ceremony of Gansu Tibetan Village in Li County, Hunan Province”, which marked the full launch of the restoration and reconstruction of the Ganbao Tibetan Village. After more than two years of reconstruction, today, the millennium ancient Tibetan villages have basically restored their original appearance. The Ganbao Tibetan Village has begun to take shape. The entire village is built on the cliffs, connected by buildings, and connected by households. All of them reflect the exquisite craftsmanship of Jiarong people. All the village entrance roads, Hujian Road and Huanzhai Road are hardened. The pots, folk songs, costumes, customs, and military culture, religious culture, farming culture, and stone culture are attracting tourists to enjoy the fun and leisure.
