Dining in Gansu


Gansu cuisine  features the roasting, steaming, and braising of beef and mutton. But dining in Gansu is very colorful. Many ethic minorities people live with Han people together in Gansu Province. Especially, Gansu is home of Hui poeple ( Musilim)  and it is a wonderful place for Muslim people to travel. The best dishes of Gansu Cuisine include Lanzhou Lamian (Lanzhou Beef Noodles), Roasted Chicken in Jingning, Dunhuang Saozi Noodles, and West Long Preserved Ham, etc.

Lanzhou Cuisine & Dining
Lanzhou dishes are representative of Gansu cuisine. Lanzhou people enjoy many tastes including salty, fresh, tart, and spicy. Gansu cuisine can be sampled at various hotels in Lanzhou. Typical dishes include Jincheng Baita, Jincheng Babao Melon Carving, Baihe Tao, and albino leeks with chicken and roasted pork.
