Jiuxian Village is located on the river bank of Yulong River in Yangshuo was originally named Xiangui Village. In 621 during the Tang Dynasty(618-907), the village was used to be a Guiyi County town separated from Yangshuo. In order to commemorate this history, later generations renamed the village to Jiuxian ( old county). 
In Jiuxian Village, there is a famous ancient bridge-Xiangui Bridge. Xiangui Bridge was built in 1123 ( in the Northern Song Dynasty) and rebuilt in 1137 ( the Seven Years of Shaoxing) in the Southern Song Dynasty. It has a history of more than 800 years and is the oldest surviving stone arch bridge in Guangxi.
