Seda Dongga Temple


Dongga Temple is one of the famous temples of the Tibetan Buddhism Ningma School Baiyu. It is located on the Dongga Mountain of the Jinma Grassland in Seda County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the largest and most influential Gelugpa temple in Yadong, and it is an important temple in the modern history of Tibet.

There are extinct cultural relics in the temple. The mural carving art in the temple has unique ornamental research value. The temple was founded in the 24th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1686) by the first incarnation of Guanyin Bodhisattva. It was the first of the 13 temples in ancient and modern times. It was guarded by the head of the Wasuda das.

The political, religious, and cultural center of Wasunda has a history of more than three hundred years. During this period, many high-ranking virtues used to listen, think, repair, speak, argue, and preside over the Buddha. The teachings have cultivated many of the great achievements of the Kumbu and the great perfection of the body.
