Yangshuo is a county under Guilin City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. About  65 kilometers away from the urban area of Guilin, Yangshuo is located south of Guilin City in the northeast of Guangxi. It borders Gongcheng County and Pingle County in the east, Lipu County in the south, Yongfu County and Lingui in the west, Lingchuan County and Yanshan District in the north.  Yangshuo is the termination of Li River Cruise. History of Yangshuo
In 590 during the Sui Dyansty, Yangshuo Town was established as the resident of Xiping County Government. And  the name  of Yangshuo is still in use until today. In 627 during Tang Dynasty(618-907), Yangshuo was founded as a county. In 1949, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it is still called Yangshuo County and belongs to the Guilin City.

The rippling Li River traverses the county and brings it breath-taking natural beauty.  The special geography gives it amazing beauty while over 1,400 years of history and diverse ethnic minority groups bless it with deep traditional and splendid cultures. Yangshuo weather is generally mild and humid the whole year round, with the average temperature at 19.5℃.The seasons of Yangshuo are distinct. July and August is the hottest, the highest temperature reaching 34-37℃. January is the coldest month at 5-8℃.

The best travel time is from April to October, when Yangshuo is mostly sunny, hardly rains, ready for sightseeing and all kinds of outdoor activities -- bamboo rafting, bike riding and mountain climbing.


How to reach Yangshuo?
Yangshuo is now a must-go destination as well as Guilin. To receive domestic and international tourists, the county has gradually improved its transportation system which at present is very convenient. There is no airport in this town. But the high speed trains have connected it with Guilin, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Besides, buses to Guilin, Guangzhou, Nanning, Shenzhen, and Xingping Town are available at the local bus station. Those traveling by air can transfer from Guilin, where you can choose a Li River cruise or take a train or bus to Yangshuo.  City-bus and motor tricycles operate within the county. Cycling and hiking are good choices to view the idyllic countryside scenery.

Dining In Yangshuo : Yangshuo attracts tourists with its delicious specialty foods, such as Beer Fish, Niang dishes and special snacks including rice noodles and various glutinous rice cakes.
