Hengyang Transportation


Hengyang is a place of strategic importance,as well as the galaxy of various company .In recent years, Hengyang city has been striving to develop water transportation, managing to build railway, road and waterway Train transportation network. At the same time, government concentrates on the infrastructure building, strengthening the construction of waterway and parts, which achieves a qualitative leap.As one of the national 45 main traffic center, Hengyang’s jurisdictions roads go across and extend in all directions .

By Air

Hengyang Nanyue Airport ( HNY ) is located in Yunji Town, Hengnan County. The airport is named after Mount Heng, also known as Nanyue. It replaced the old Bajialing Airport, which was shut down in 1995. Construction of the airport started on 7 January 2012 and the airport was opened on 23 December 2014.

The airport has a runway that is 2,600 metres (8,500 ft) long and 45 metres (148 ft) wide (class 4C), a 14,300 square metres (154,000 sq ft) terminal building, and five aircraft parking places. It is projected to serve 360,000 passengers annually by 2020.


By Train

Beijing-Guangzhou railway and Xiang-Gui Railway go across in the urban area of Hengyang; 107 national highway, 322 national highway and Beijing-Zhuhai expressway run through Hengyang too.In the future, Hengyang railway hub plans to introduce 13 lines in 7 directions, which will make Hengyang the biggest railway hub in southern China.

Hengyang Railway Station is located in the Zhuhui District. Every day there are non-bullet trains to other big cities in China and to Zhangjiajie or Changsha in Hunan Province. Bus No. 1, 7, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 27, 32, 36... will take you to the Railway Station.
Hengyang East Railway Station is a high speed train station, servicing high speed trains running along Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway. It has been connected with Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xian, Guilin, Changsha, and Wuhan.


By Bus

The Xiangtan-Hengyang part of Beijing-Zhuhai expressway, Hengda (Pu) expressway ,107 national highway (from Beijing to Guangzhou ),322 national highway(from Hengyang to Youyiguang, Pingxiang city inGuangxi province, reaching Vietnam), “Three Southern National Highway ”(connecting the southern part of Hunan province, Jiangxi province and Guangdong province) throughout Hengyang-Shenyang expressway. Hengyang expressway and Beijing-Hongkong-Macau expressway, Xiangtan-Hengyang expressway,as well as Hengyang-Nanyue expressway are under construction.

There are two long-distance bus stations in the city. One is Central Bus Station (the former Western Bus Station) located in Jiefang Road (west). There are buses running to other cities within Hunan Province such as Changsha, Xiangtan, Zhuzhou, Shaoyang, Yongzhou. Moreover, there are buses to reach Guangxi Province including Guilin, and Guangdong Province including Shenzhen, Huidong, Zhongshan. From the city center take bus No.1, 101, 104, 14, 19, 21, 22, 28, 303, 31, 8, K1, K39, Huancheng A Line, Huancheng B Line and you will arrive at this station.

The other station is Huaxin Bus Station located in the suburban area of Huaxin Development Zone. This station is the largest and the most modern passenger bus station in the southern Hunan area. Buses No.19, 101, 104 and K1 in the city center will take you there. The buses in this station are mostly to surrounding cities and counties such as Shaoyang, Qidong, Yongzhou.


Hengyang City resides Guangdong province and Guangxi province, situated in the fort of the north and south.Hence, the city of Hengyang has superior location and convenient transportation.Meanwhile,Hengyang has been regarded as the significant town of Hunan province for a long time.
