By Air
Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (IATA: DYG，ICAO: ZGDY) is the only airport in the city. It is about 5 km away from the downtown and 30 km away from Wulingyuan Scenic Area. But the flights leaving for Zhangjiajie is quite limited. There are regular flights to Zhangjiajie from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shenyang, Qingdao, Nanjing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Changzhou and Changsha. If you travel to Zhangjiajie from other cities in China, you need to transfer your flight via the above places. 

By Train
There are two railway stations in the city. One is small located in Cili County which is used for local traffic. The other is the main Zhangjiajie Railway Station located in Yongding District.  is about 43 kilometers from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The station mainly operates normal trains to domestic cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Jishou, Hangzhou, Changsha, Kunming and Nanning.

At present, only Zhangjiajie Railway Station is used for passenger transport in the city. West Railway Station for high speed trains is under construction and will open in the near future.
