Zhangjiajie Zhangjiajie Dayong Ancient City Development Co., Ltd, established in 2018, is mainly responsible for the construction and operation of the Dayong Ancient City Project.
The area of the city of Zhangjiajie was originally called Dayong. It was built 2230  years ago and is the seat of the ancient Yong State. It has been a gateway to the southwest since ancient times. The Dayong Ancient City Project was built on the site of the South Gate of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911). The total planned land area was 325 mu, and the total construction area was about 185,000 square meters.

It was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and preserved the Sanyuan Palace and Chaotianmen Gate. Historical and cultural landscapes such as ancient city walls and ancient trees, restored the construction of intangible cultural heritage venues such as Yang Opera, Guletang Hall, and re-emerged the 10th view of the ancient city such as Liu Ming Deng General Army, Tusi Palace, Bafang Loft, and Nanmen Grand Pier. "Showing the prosperity of the ancient city of Dayong in the heyday of the Ming and Qing Dynasties." The ancient city of Dayong will be put into operation and opened to tourist form home and abroad in 2020.
