Black Pines Hilltop

Black Pines Hilltop, also called 黑枞垴 (hēi cōng nǎo) in Chinese, is located at the northern end of the top terrace of Yellow Stone Village  in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

The Black Pines Hilltop rises to a height of more than 300 meters and is surrounded by cliffs. And it is named after a large black pines forest growing on the peak of 60 acres . There is a complete virgin forest preserved in the hilltop, which is beyond reach. No one has been involved so far, except for macaques and various wild animals.

In the 1970s, a forest farm worker tried to climb up to investigate, but returned because of rain and slippery. Now we can only watch from a distance. With the help of a telescope, we can see the lush forests on the peaks. They are lush, vigorous and full of mystery.
