South Sky Gate

The South Sky Gate, also 南天门 (nán tiān mén) in Chinese, is a must-pass if you hike along the road to the Yellow Stone Village in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is located between the South Sky pillar and the Heavenly Book Box.

On the road, there are more than ten square meters of sloping rock peaks and a thousand-tough stone wall arch, facing south, the stone path passes through the gate, and the gate is narrow. hence it is  called the South Sky Gate.

The South Sky Gate is a natural arch formed by the sloping rock peaks and the ancient stone wall. It opens to the south and can be called the magic of nature. The stone path passed through the door, and the hole was narrow and deep, with wild trees on both sides. Passing through this gate, the clouds are from outside, it was a bit like being in heaven. A strange stone stands on the right side of the South Sky Gate,, about 20 meters high, which is similar to the human body.

If you take the rope-way, you will not pass here. The name " South Sky Gate" means that you can see the heaven-like beauty through it. In fact, there is still a long way to reach the top of the  Yellow Stone Village after walking through this "gate".
