Scenery of the Journey To The West

The Scenery of the Journey To The West, also called " Went to the West for Learning Buddhist" or 西天取经 (xī tiān qǔ jīng)in Chinese , is located in the valley on the east side of the Golden Whip Rock in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is not difficult to be seen while you walk along the path in the Golden Whip Stream.

Looking up please, there are some stone peaks and stone walls intertwined in this valley, and the size of the peaks is scattered. On the right, it is a stone peak protruding northward like a long mouth. It looks like Zhu Bajie who is one of the characters from the famous Chinese movie of  “Journey to the West ”. Then the two peaks are juxtaposed, the big one is like Monk Sha, and the thin peak is like Master  Monk Tang . In the distance, there is also a rock peak on the cliff,  which just like Sun Wukong who is the King Monkey, and the next group of small stone peaks are like a group of monkeys.

The reason why this attraction is called "Xi Tian Qu Jing" is because the movie "Journey to the West" was filmed here in 1984, and the place looks like the scenery in "Journey to the West" which the four people, including Master Monk Tang and his three students such as Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Monk Sha, went to the West for learning Buddhist .
