Morong Miao Village

Morong Miao Village is located in Morong Township, Guzhang County, Xiangxi Prefecture of Hunan Province. It is about 140 km away from Zhangjiajie City, as well as 10 km away from Jishou City. With 718 Miao Ethnic families, as well as population of 3568 Miao people, Morong Miao Village is the largest Miao village in west Hunan.

You will have a better understanding to the Miao nationality and their daily life after visiting this village. What’s more, the most breathtaking bridge in the world - Aizhai Suspension Bridge is on the way to the Miao village. Aizhai Suspension Bridge is honored to be one of the greatest engineering wonders, with length of 1073.65 meters. The bridge looks like a flying dragon lying between two large mountains. You can’t miss it when you travel there.

Best time to visit: April to October is the best time to visit the village, when the weather is not too cold.
How to get there: You can take a bus at Jishou City for about 20 minutes to get there. It's about 3 hours driving from downtown Zhangjiajie.
